This movie had me intrigued from the beginning, and then it all sort of fell apart for me during the obligatory CGI action scenes so many movies can't seem to resist boring me with. How ironic, eh? Er, maybe not. It wasn't that the execution was particularly bad, or even bad at all. I'm just the oddball who's not that entertained by watching high speed car chases and the like, particularly if the plot doesn't really call for it. I think this movie could have done without them. Maybe I'll watch this one again and change my mind, I dunno.
Overall, the movie was somewhat interesting, and reminded me of Blade Runner for reasons, that if I wrote them here, might spoil it for someone who hasn't seen it yet. So, the reason is...
Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson turn in their typical solid performances as the leads, as well as Steve Buscemi and Michael Clarke Duncan in their supporting roles.
I gave it the decent vote...meh.

Yeah, actually, it did remind me of Logan's Run as well. Not much of Blade Runner, but since paradox is too young to remember Logan's Run (jeez, kids these days ), I guess he wouldn't know about the similarities.
Nope, haven't seen Logan's Run. After looking at the plot summary for Logan's Run, I agree with you all that it does look much more comparable. Blade Runner was the closest thing I've seen to compare it to.
Let's see, 1976, so that would have made you how old Leigh? 97?
Geez Louise, I'm surrounded by old farts here. Of course, we didn't have to be living in 1976 to have seen this film. How old were you when this came out Miraenda, like 5 or something? I'm pretty sure you didn't see it then. You were probably too busy reading The Chronicles of Narnia or something nerdy I'm sure.
