Because of Winn-Dixie

I went to see this film at Coral Ridge Mall Cinema 10 on February 19 2005 for the 2:15pm matinee.

This is the first of 3 movies I have seen today (Because of Winn-Dixie, Boogeyman and Sideways) and the one I liked the most. Although it subsides into corniness in a lot of places, the story is endearing and the characters likable.

Mainly a children's movie based off a book of the same name written by Kate Dicamillo, the themes and emotions portrayed in the movie itself, however, are very adult in nature. The story is far more compelling than several other films released this year.

I really don't have a lot to say about this film as it is simple at heart. While not great, it has its moments, and I enjoyed most of them, so I am ranking it a good on the scale of choice.
